Fun Fact Friday: Lots to do this weekend!

Rochester offers a multitude of fun summer activities and this weekend is no exception. Here are some of our favorite fun options:

1. The Kwik Fill Rochester International Air Show will be held on Saturday 8/16 and Sunday 8/17/2014. Featuring the USAF Thunderbirds and the only civilian-owned Harrier jump jet in the world, there will be lots of flying demonstrations as well as static displays.

2. Arts at the Gardens: Experience and be inspired by Arts at the Gardens, where you’ll find original art in the spectacular setting of Sonnenberg Gardens! Saturday 8/16 and Sunday 8/17/2014.

3. St. Josaphat’s 40th Annual Ukrainian Festival: Friday-Sunday 8/15-8/17/2014. Ukrainian Food, Ukrainian Arts & Crafts, and Ukrainian Folk Dancing.

4. Radio Control Club of Rochester Annual Great Electric Radio Control Air Show and Fun Fly. Saturday & Sunday 8/16 & 8/17/2014 The Radio Control Club of Rochester is hosting its Annual RCCR Great Electric Radio Control Air Show and Fun Fly at the Model Air field located in Northampton Park, Spencerport.

5. Diesel Day at the New York Museum of Transportation and R&GV Museum. Sunday 8/17 ride the trains & trolleys.

6. Fairy Folk Village at Strong Museum of Play’s Discovery Garden. Explore the twisting paths and hidden nooks of the museum’s Discovery Garden to discover whimsical fairy doors donated by Chris Pallace and Kevin Serwacki of Blue Toucan Studios.
